Boston / New York

Hi y'all

Sorry about the lack of updates, I wasn't checking if they were being posted properly.

Whilst in Boston, Adair and I did a day trip to Salem. Salem is most known for the witch trials in 1692.

We checked out Harvard, downtown Boston, went to the Cheers bar and watched baseball (which we realised we kind of like and are on our way to becoming Melbourne Aces #1 fans.)

New York was fast paced, we purchased the bus sight ticket to get an overview of the city and went to all the main sites; Statue of Liberty, rockerfeller plaza, Times Square (which isn't even a square but more an over populated street with lots of ads) and the Empire State.

One of our favourite nights was going to see the broadway musical, Matilda. It was alright, but no wicked. Afterwards we went to Sardis, which opened in 1927 as is covered in caricatures of all the broadway stars- they say that's how you know you've made it.

New York has a lot of amazing bars, we went to a cocktail bar where you give them flavours you like and they'll wip you up something. Pro tip: spicy watermelon is not a nice drink.
Another bar that night was located inside a phone booth inside a hot dog takeaway store. You went into a phone booth, dialed 1 and then the back opened and you were greeted by a hostess.
I convinced the hostess that it was our "last night and we were flying back home and got lost" and thankfully we got in.

Missing you all,
Sarah
